Before and After

Is there not one place on Earth
yet unseen by one Man?
Could there be but more--
more miraculous jewels
or pools of untapped knowledge?

Is there not one way
to explore the depths of the heart?
For we know drastically less
about what we write the most.

Is there not one rule
upon which we may all agree,
though we find it hard to believe
in what we have not created?

Can we yet see
the glaring light up ahead,
which blinds us so profoundly
that we still believe in sight?

And yet,
it seems we now have all of the answers,
but only some of the questions.
